FAQ
How much do you charge / How long does a job take?
My most common request is to remove malware (viruses, spy-ware, ad-ware etc), which typically costs around $40 if you drop it off and will usually be resolved within 24 hours. Each price is specific for the amount of work that needs to be done, and is always agreed before work begins. If I discover additional problems I will either fix them free of charge, or else call you before I do further work; you will never be charged for additional work you did not agree to. The full pricing guide can be found at the Price page.
Why shouldn't I go to a large retail tech support store?
Unlike my competition I am effectively paid by commission, and survive on reputation. I have never left a customer dissatisfied, and I treat everyone as an individual . As I am self-employed I offer my services for less, which makes me the cheapest option in the area. As I don't sell products I won't push software/hardware on you that you do not need, so any recommendations I make are entirely genuine. Finally unlike anyone you'll speak to in the stores, you'll have my home address so if I fail to do a good job, you'll know where I live!
Can I call you to ask a quick question?
Absolutely. I am only paid for the service work I do, but will happily answer any questions you might have to the best of my ability. If you have a lengthy problem or a question you would like explained in detail, I also offer Free Tech Support via email.
Where are you based?
I am located in Mansfield Texas near to 287, and work from home to keep my costs down and allow me to spend more time with my family. To avoid web spiders, bots and spam I do not list my email address, or home address anywhere on the site. You can however contact me via the Contact page, and from there I will provide you with my home and email address.
Why should I trust you?
I myself have used sites like Craigslist to find a range of products and services, and I have seen good and bad results. Your computer is worth many hundreds of dollars, not to mention all the sentimental and important documents stored on them. It is undoubtedly a leap of faith, but there are a few things that should help put your mind at ease. Firstly I categorically do not make websites, yet I designed and built this one myself. It's not a great site, but hopefully it's enough to show you the care I put into everything I dedicate myself to. Secondly you'll be dealing with me directly, not someone behind a phone or counter, not an agent or a manager, just me. I will listen to all your questions, problems and complaints, and will do all it takes to make your experience a great one.
